Have you ever read a book, and after reading the first line in the first chapter you've thought OMG this book is going to be captivating. I have to finish it tonight, the plot is so intriguing, who did it? Well this challenge we want you to create a layout that
captures that first line.

Prompt: "First Impressions" - Using the first line of a book - eg: Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice "IT is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife....

Product: Paper with words on it

Technique: Paint washing - watered down paint to create a subtle paint effect.

We cannot wait to see what you create, thank you all for participating in our challenges. We love viewing all the projects created.

If you have trouble coming up with a first line....check out this... http://www.infoplease.com/ipea/A0934311.html

Now I had tons of fun with this layout!!! Guy pages are a challenge....so I pulled out some of my favorite products...

Claudine Hellmuth's Studio Paints....the awesomeness of this paint.....water it down and it's still bright!

Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint.....ROCK CANDY!!! oh the fun of it!

Prima.....paper and felt

And created this layout of my son!!! DOUGALO!

I also modified the buttons I used!! They were stark white and weren't working well....I pulled out my Archival Ink....Jet Black....and rubbed over the top of the buttons.

So play along and upload your photo to the DreamGirls Flickr site....I'll be looking for your layout to vote on!!
