totallllly FORGOT!!

I was looking through the memory card for my camera and found the picts I had taken as a tutorial for my Christmas Tag!! I SOOOOOOO forgot about it in all the hubbub of the season!!!

Grab a cup of warm cocoa, cup of java or a glass of wine......
whatever suits your fancy and check it out...a bit long but I wanted to get it all in!!!

I cut a tag from a piece of Kraft Resist Paper. Using various Tim Holtz snowflakes, I stamped on the tag with Embossing Ink and embossed with White Utee.

I then covered the tag with Picket Fence Distress Stain.

When dry I added a layer of Faded Jeans.

Next, I stamped on the tag with another Tim Stamp and Black Soot Distress Ink.
When finished, I wet the end of a towel and cleaned the ink from the snowflakes.

I pulled out my handy dandy tear it up.....Distrezz it All and went to town!!!

Using Chipped Sapphire, I inked the torn up edges.

Using the Distressed Doily die, I cut from dictionary paper,
scrunched it in the middle and stapled it using my Tiny Attacher.

I used Tim's Kraft Glassine Tutorial from Tag #8 using Lettuce & Meadow Alcohol Inks, along with Gold Mixitive and Blending Solution.......all on Glassine paper!!
I do wish I had his Holly Branch Die but sadly I don't. So, I made my own holly leaves.

I then used my Tattered Leaves die and a piece of Crinoline and cut 5 leaves.
I trimmed them down a tad as my Poinsettia would have been to large for my tag.

Using my Barn Door Reinker Mixture, I spritz the leaves to saturation.

I created a puddle of Aged Mahogany Distress Stain and dipped the edges of the wet leaves in it.

After drying the leaves, I folded the bottom end and stapled it to give the leaves dimension.

I punched a small circle from the left over Glassine paper dabbed on some Studio ~ Multi Medium and compiled my flower....using Multi Medium as needed.

I pulled out a few pieces of mini chipboard and dabbed on some gold paint.

I adhered most everything to the tag with Multi Medium!!

and there you have it...........my Merry Christmas tag

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial!!

Merry Christmas and a VERY HAPPPPPY New Year to all!!!

a tag......a tag!!!

So.....did you follow Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas???
If so......there were some very way cool techniques share!!
if not.....you need to pop on over for a gander!!!

Cause........the challenge for the next two weeks.....over at
Simon Says Stamp and Show

Tim and Tags!!!

My tag has a little bit of this and a little bit of that from Tim's Tags.

I really enjoyed tag #8 and the way he created
the holly leaves using the Glassine paper with Alcohol inks!!
Check out the tutorial here!!

I created my own tag by using a piece of paper from Tim's ~ Kraft Resist Paper and the Tag and Bookplate die. Using Distress Embossing Ink and White UTEE, I created the snowflakes.
With Picket Fence and Faded Jeans Distress Stains, I covered the tag.
Next, I inked up my music stamp with Black Soot and stamped the tag.

Can you see that I used the Distressed Doily ~ On the Edge die again!! This time I cut it out of dictionary paper, squinched it in the center, stapled it using the Tiny Attacher.....
Can't get enough of that die!!!

Love the Maya Road Mini Chipboard covered with Metallic Gold paint!

What better way to distress up the whole creation........
then with the Distress it All!!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

howdy!!

Well peeps........a tad late with my Simon Says Stamp and Show post.......but had a last minute opportunity to travel to the "big" city to go Christmas shopping.....AND I TOOK IT!!!

SOOOOOOO......needless to say I am a tad bit late posting!! Hope you will forgive me!! Thanks!

This week at Simon Says Stamp and Show......the challenge is

Through the Looking Glass ~ Projects with Depth

I chose to create within a Configurations Box.......which can I be honest.....scared the bageeeberzs outta me!!! But that's always a good sign (at least I think so!!)

Many months ago, I can across a bag of Christmas Miniatures that I had purchased, who knows when. I put them in a safe spot (which I actually remembered this time....hehehe). And by golly this challenge was just the perfect time to pull them out!!

I covered part of my box with Molding Paste to make it look like snow......
(hoping that might entice the real stuff to fall so we can have a White Christmas!)

In the lower left corner, I spritzed the box with Green Patina Perfect Pearls Mist and filled a Clear bottle with Faux Snow and adhered to the box using Multi Medium.

In the top left box I gathered a bunch of doo dads.....wooden snowflake covered in Glue Gloss and sprinkled with Fairy Dust. I found an old mitten charm and tied some bakers twine to it, and one must always have a ruler to measure the coming snow!!

So, are you afraid of using a certain technique, medium, item or style??? I encourage you to embrace your fears and step outta your box and give it a shot!! I did and had THE BEST TIME creating!!!

Don't forget to check out the other DT blogs and link up you creation to......
Simon Says Stamp and Show.....

some one this week with the be proud recipient of this......

OLDIE but a GOOODIE!!

I wanted to repost one of my all time favorite tutorials!!!

Tis the season....to be creative!! I have to tell you I've been cranking out the Christmas goodies!! Think I like this season??

I used the Fantabulous Night Divine by Creative Imaginations/IOD, Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die, Forest Moss and Aged Mahogany Distress Ink, Fired Brick and Peeled Paint Distress Stickles, Tiny Attacher, Ink Blending Tool, Claudine Hellmuth Multi Medium, Petaloo Berry Picks, vintage buttons, jingle bells, grapevine wreath and Christmas gold netting.

Now, you may want to grab a cup of coffee or hot cocoa as this post is a bit long, but it does go by quickly....cause I want you to be able to create this little goodie tooo!!

So, grab your supplies and let's get creating!!

You will need to cut pieces of paper 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" of three different patterned papers,
5 green, 4 of one red and 5 of another.

Ink the edges of the green leaves with Forest Moss Distress Ink or the ink of your choice.

Trim off the bottom of the 4 like leaves.

Ink the edges of all the red leaves with Aged Mahogany.

Next Stickle the edges of the leaves, Fired Brick on red leaves Peeled Paint of green leaves.

Fold over the bottom edge of the leaf and staple.

Repeat the above process with all leaves.

Sorry, this photo is blurry (didn't find out till too late!)
Arrange/adhere the green petals on a circle by placing a dab of Multi Medium
on the back of each leaf petal.

Continue the same process with 5 red leaf petals.

Finish with the final 4 leaf/petals and finish off with a vintage button.

Arrange the flowers on the a grapevine wreath.
Accent with Berry Picks, gold ribbon, and jingle bells.

(so much prettier outside)

HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT!!!
