circle cut from a piece of Canvas Corp ~ E Flute ~ Black.
Accented with two Petaloo ~ Burlap Flowers
colored with Tattered Angels ~ Chalkboard ~ Cornflower Daze and a
diecut of Die~Namites Dies ~ Field Grasses
from a piece of Tattered Angels ~ Mistable Papers ~ Brushed Cotton Cream,

MEMORIES........

I have been experimenting with a few Tattered Angel products....
Here is a project I came up with!

I began with a Canvas Corp ~ 6x6 Stretched Canvas.
I pulled out the Crafter's Workshop ~ Paradise stencil and
smeared some Golden ~ Pearl Mica Flake through it.
While still wet, I sprinkled on some Silver Microbeads
and let dry.

I then applied a bit of
Tattered Angels ~ Plain Jane ~ Simply Sheer ~ Aqua
and
Plain Jane ~ Baseboard ~ Ivory
(can I just say this is my favorite mist of all times)
along with a few spritz of water to blend!

When dry, I placed the Crafter's Workshop ~ Reversed Chicken Wire
stencil on the canvas, and with a sponge dabbed on
TA Glimmer Glaze ~ Blue Oasis.
I added one more texture,
Golden Crackle Paste through
the Crafter's Workshop Brick stencil.
(when totally dry....I brushed on a bit
of TA ~ Plain Jane ~ Simply Sheer Pink
and TA ~ Glimmer Mist ~

While the background was drying....
I spritz my large Petaloo ~ Printed Darjeeling flower
with water and applied
TA ~ Plain Jane ~ Simply Sheer Aqua
to the edges of the petals.
I dried the flower and then
went around the edges of the flower
with TA ~ Glimmer Glaze ~ Blue Oasis.

......this is where I tell on myself.
I was trying to stay monochromatic but
JUST COULDN'T DO IT.
SOOOO.....I added a bit of the
TA ~ Plain Jane ~ Simply Sheer ~ Pink
to the center of the flower!

I then gave the flower an overall spritz
of the TA ~ Simply Jane ~ Baseboard ~ Ivory
and added a touch of Golden Gesso.
LOVE THE LOOK!
I colored some thread with the
TA ~ Plain Jane ~ Simply Sheer ~ Aqua.
Finishing it all off with a vintage earring
and vintage lace!!

I then pulled a few of my stash Vintage Findings
an old metal spoon
some buttons
and a pin....
and built my canvas!
To tell on myself again.....
I had finished my canvas...
photographed it....and even placed the photos
in this blog post....
and TORE IT ALL APART AND
BEGAN AGAIN....
here was the original canvas

think I like the revised version the best!!!

HAPPY EASTER.....

OK....so I will say I cheated a little bit on this project.
A few weeks back I had the opportunity to teach
at a WONDERFUL event for Petaloo.
I had created a Petaloo Flower cluster on a piece
of wire mesh for the above class, but
I ended up not using it....
but it was just so BEAUTIFUL
I saved it knowing
it would get used
SOMEWHERE!!

Happyeaster

....and there it is
stapled to a framed chicken wire piece
I had picked up a while back.

Happyeaster3

Petaloo's Botanica Collection flowers are just
beyond BEAUTIFUL and made creating this
flower cluster.....soo easy!

Happyeaster2

Happyeaster5

.....a few Flora Doodles flowers and Leaves
a few Mini Pearl Daisies.

Happyeaster4

I created my Happy Easter Banner
using Graphic45's Botanical Tea papers,
attached to a bit of Jute and
held on with Mini Clothespins
so the greeting changed out
as needed!
Hope you have enjoyed my creation....
and a
Happy Easter to you and yours!!

Take My Hand.....

....and we will walk this path together!!

Many times I've created because
of an assigned project or theme....
the other day I needed to create
FOR SANITY SAKE!!

I pulled out my plastic container of
"MISFITS"
and began to paw through
the pile of goodness....
unused BEAUTIES...that just didn't
work on the project they were
created for....
but not worthy of the trash bag!!

Life has dealt me some SERIOUS BLOWS
in the last 6 months....the hardest one being....
walking through cancer treatments
with someone
NEAR & DEAR
to my heart....

.....so when I found the Wendy Vecchi ~ Arts Parts hand
I just knew where this creative journey
was going to take me
A card from the HEART!

I stumbled upon one of Petaloo's Vintage Trinkets
and it fit PERFECT on the hand!!

....there were Petaloo flowers adorned with
Viva Colour Precious Metal Effect Paint!!
I just added a dab of
TA Red Rock to the center of the large flower
and around the edges of the
Canvas Heart....
for continuity!!!

I chose to die~cut a piece of Vintage Dictionary paper
that was in the box
using Die~Namites Spring Doily!!
And there you have it........
my "MISFIT" card!
(sometimes they turn out the most LOVELY!!)

Ah....and you may notice my
FAVORITE SAYING
of all time.....
"We don't remember DAYS....
We remember MOMENTS!!"
by Cesare Pavese
in the background.....

WONDERFUL words to
LIVE BY!!

BTW......WHY DON'T YOU
pull out some of your
MISFIT pieces parts and
CREATE SOMETHING!!

I will choose a RANDOM winner
for a Prize Package
from my stash!!!
(I promise it will be awesome!!)

MISFITS...are the pieces parts you have left over when you are done creating (or at least when I am done!!).....a flower you didn't use....journaling card cast aside....a diecut you cut but it didn't fit....Loopy bows tied but never adorning a creation....

Thank You......THANK YOU!

HI PEEPS.....
I had the needed to make a few
THANK YOU cards....

Every month a new sketch will be introduced....
the sketch can be interpreted as a card, layout or altered piece!

You need to use at least one Die~Namites Die in your creation.

You have until the last day of the month to post your creation on your blog,
with mention of the Die~Namites Die used and a link back to the Die~Namites Dies blog.
Link your blog post, using Inlinkz, to the Die~Namites Die blog.

A random winner will be chosen from eligible participants
for a $25 Gift Certificate to the Die~Namites Dies

Here is my take on the sketch....

Die~Namites Dies April Sketch Challenge

I pulled out a few pieces of patterned paper from
Marion Smith's  ~ Motley and Never Grow Up Collections.
I began with the Self Portrait as the card base.

Die~Namites Dies April Sketch Challenge

I placed the Crafter's Workshop stencil ~ Cityscape
and applied Picked Raspberry ~ Distress Stain
through the stencil.

I then pulled out Mini Ledger Stencil
and applied Golden ~ Molding Paste
and dried it.

I applied Peeled Paint ~ Distress Stain
through the Paradise Stencil.
(I loved that it bled under the stencil!!)

Die~Namites Dies April Sketch Challenge

Using various Marion Smith papers
I die~cut several

I colored one of "Nana's Flowers" with
Picked Strawberries ~ Distress Stain and
Peeled Paint ~ Distress Stain and then
spritzed it with a Gold Mist.

Die~Namites Dies April Sketch Challenge

I used the second die~cut of Nana's Flowers
to fill in the die~cut areas of the painted die~cut.

I then colored a few Petaloo ~ Mini Pearl Daisies
with a smidge of Picked Raspberry ~ Distress Stain
and applied them to the die~cut Nana's Flowers.

I had also cut out

which I ended up not using it on my "sketch" card
but created a second card with the
left~over pieces parts....

I used the "left~over" Nana's Flowers
as the backdrop for
the colored Beautiful Flowers.

I just LOVE how the patterned paper mixes so well
with the Picked Raspberries ~ Distress Stain.

I DO hope you will pull out a few of your
Die~Namites Dies and Play ALONG with US!

COLOR MY WORLD.......

I am not a huge fan of drama.....
I JUST LOVE TO CREATE!!
and my creative world was placed on tilt
recently and it left me in a TOTAL creative panic!

So....when things like this happen...
YOU REGROUP
RE~EVALUATE
and BEGIN AGAIN!

That is just what I did yesterday....
I dusted off my stash of
Tattered Angels..
created a new color bible...
and began to play
having ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA
where I was headed
just reacquainting myself with
how the products worked.

I began with a 6x6 stretched Canvas by Canvas Corp.
Pulled out a bit of
Tissuestock ~ Kraft
Printed Canvas ~ Black French Script
Printed Burlap ~ Tile
I collaged the textures randomly
onto my canvas
using Ranger ~ Multi Medium.
Then I let the experimentation begin!!
I sprayed....
I painted....
I spritzed with water...
I used the Peacock Stencil by The Crafter's Workshop
with a bit of Golden Molding Paste
and Sprayed more...
until I achieved the background I was looking for.

I then pulled out the new Textured Elements by Petaloo ~ Ivory
which I proceeded to color
with Plain Jane Baseboard ~ Red Rocks
and accented it with
Glam ~ Just Peachy
OHHHH THE LOVE!

See the Mini Pearl Daisy I accented with the Red Rocks??!??!
The were originally teal....just PERFECT!

Using Canvas Corp Handmade Paper....
I diecut Field Grasses from a piece of
Flocked Ivory Damask
and
I diecut 2 ~ Leafy Flourish from
Mistable Papers ~ Linen White.
I colored all of the diecuts
with various combinations of
Glimmer Mist:
Blarney
English Ivy
Kraft
to accent my newly colored Textured Element Flower...
and then I put it ALL TOGETHER
with my all time favorite Multi Medium by Ranger
with the following quote...

"If you find a path with no obstacles....
it probably doesn't lead anywhere"
Frank A. Clark

thank you for joining me as I
continue on my path...
clearing this last obstacle!!
